Even today, it is quite common for parents to try to treat common illnesses at home by these methods rather than rush to the doctor at the first sneeze. According to Indian tradition, whenever an infant cries abnormally for a long period of time lightly press the baby's stomach, ears and back. Treatment for constipation and stomach pain If a baby (less than nine months of age) has a pain in the stomach, the recommended remedy is to crush 10 to 15 grains of dill in a teaspoonful of water. The dose of castor oil should be adjusted according to the age of the baby and the severity of the constipation. This once-a-day dose should be terminated once normal bowel movement has been restored. Treatment for Cold and fever It takes energy to fight an infection and that can wear a child out. When your child's resting, he's healing, which is exactly what he needs to do. Warm liquids can be very soothing and help relieve congestion. Give warm water at regular intervals. Soak cumin seeds in hot water and give it often to baby. It helps to cure cold and fever. Cumin seeds are very good for baby. Even we can give cumin water to baby daily. Treatment for diaper rash Diaper rashes grow in warm, moist places. They can look like red splotches on your baby’s bottom or in genital area. The most important way to prevent and treat a rash is to keep your baby’s diaper dry and clean. Whenever your baby isn’t wearing a diaper, lay them down on a towel. The longer they’re out of diaper, the better. Instead of baby wipes use water or wet some cotton cloth and use it. Always use baby friendly soaps. Apply coconut oil in the affected area twice a day. It helps to cure the diaper rash within 2 days. Treatment for diarrhoea Make sure your baby drinks plenty of fluids to stop her from dehydrating. If your baby is taking her breast or formula feeds well, stick with them. In addition, older babies may be given sips of water, oral rehydration solution (ORS) or electrolyte solution. Coconut water is a rich source of electrolytes. You can prepare ORS at home as well. Take one litre of water, boiled and then cooled. Stir in 8 teaspoons of sugar and one teaspoon of salt. Give her sips of this mixture every time she vomits and passes stool or urine. It helps your baby to feel get cure.

"Babies really love the flavour," says Dr. V.Laxmi Fish Fish is a good source of Vitamin dand omega-3s, which protect the brain from declining mental skills and memory loss. Salmon, tuna, and sardines are all rich in omega-3s.
